A giant transparent sphere, the size of a four-storey building, floats on the river at low tide. A flautist is suspended in the exact centre (eighteen feet above the water) and performs the most unusual flute recital ever. Water Cycle, a piece for flute and sound system was originally commissioned for the Thames and this is its first performance on the river.
