Kids’ Choir 2010
Sat 11 September 2010 / 1pm
Outside City Hall in The Scoop at More London.
In 2010 the Mayor's Thames Festival, with the support of Sing Up, has commissioned the internationally renowned British composer Jonathan Dove and librettist Alasdair Middleton to compose a new cantata, inspired by the River Thames, for a thousand children's voices.
River Songs was performed for the first time by a thousand London school children as a spectacular opening event at this year's festival.
You can see a video of the background and run up to the performance on the Chocolate Films vimeo page

The children were brilliant and they sound great, the music was very good and catching, so were the lyrics, and the musicians performed at high level. The conductor made a sublime job with the choir. It’s been a great day along the river. I am looking forward to see snaps of in this great event 2010? Thank you.
