CBBC Me & My Movie 2008

Don’t just watch it, do it! with CBBC at the Thames Festival.

Get inspired in film-making masterclasses with CBBC Me and My Movie in association with BAFTA. You can go behind-the-scenes of Newsround and try your hand as a reporter or camera operator in our specially built studio experience. Plus there will be special guests, surprise appearances and live broadcasts throughout the day.

To book your free place for hands-on workshops, drop in to the CBBC tent on Jubilee Gardens next to the London Eye. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.

1pm Meet the flock

Jez Edwards (XChange) presents an exciting session with Aardman Animation’s Jay Clarke & CBBC favourite Shaun The Sheep.

2pm The magic of Merlin

Ortis (Sorcerer’s Apprentice) meets acting star Richard Wilson, Colin Morgan & producers from Merlin, BBC ONE’s new fantasy drama.

3pm How to make a movie

Ortis meets Film Producer Michelle Fox & Angus, Thongs & Perfect Snogging stars Georgia Groome & Eleanor Tomlinson. With newcomer Rosalind Peters.

4pm Stuntman to the stars

Sportsround’s Abs & Jez Edwards meet Oscar winning Stuntman Vic Armstrong who makes Indiana Jones & James Bond look indestructible. 5pm & 6pm Ministry of Magic

CBBC Muggles Abs & Jez Edwards take a special look at Harry Potter props with Props Master Barry Wilkinson & the Weasley twins Oliver & James Phelps.

3pm The power of Raven

Andy (Blue Peter) & Rani (Best of Friends) learn about the way of the warrior in a special session with James Mackenzie, star of CBBC show Raven.

4pm The magic of the movies

TMi’s Sam, Mark & Caroline are spellbound by TV star magician & Magic Circle member Max Somerset from The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

5pm Raven returns

Join Andy & Rani for another chance to see if you’ve got what it takes to be a warrior with Raven star James Mackenzie.
