Register your interest to take part now!
Sing for Water is a mass adult choir of over 800 people traditionally led by renowned composer, singer and musical director Helen Chadwick. Sing for Water was co-founded in 2002 by Helen and the Thames Festival to provide a spectacular concert as part of the Thames Festival programme, while raising money and awareness for the charity WaterAid.
The mass adult choir is now an annual feature of event, drawing choirs from all over the UK to take part and help raise money for WaterAid.
Over the last 10 years, Sing for Water events have raised over £564,668 for WaterAid projects in India, Burkina Faso, Ghana and Malawi, bringing clean water, sanitation and hygiene education to thousands of people.
CONGRATULATIONS to all of you that have helped achieve this!!!!
Sing for Water 2012 will be an incredible opportunity to be part of the Mayor's, and the city’s, final celebration of an amazing year for London, taking place in the very heart of the capital in the Scoop at More London, next to City Hall, during the closing weekend of the London 2012 Games.
The concert will be held on Sunday 9 September and will be led by the fantastic Roxane Smith & Helen Chadwick. Helen will also be writing a song especially for the event and we will be joined once again by the amazing Una May. Roxane and Helen will complete the 2012 repertoire soon – keep an eye on this page for updates and register for your interest to take part with your choir as soon as possible.
