Tubes, buses, cycles and river
Nearest Tubes
- For the area on the South Bank the nearest tube is Waterloo and Embankment (Disabled access)
- For the area by the Tate the nearest tubes are Blackfriars and Southwark
- For the area by Southwark Bridge the nearest tube is Canon Street and Borough
- For the area by Tower Bridge and The Scoop at More London, nearest tubes are London Bridge (Disabled access) and Tower Hill

Service update
Planned Tube Closures
Northern Line – Waterloo station Northern line platforms are closed. Northern line trains will not stop in both directions.
Buses
There are many bus stops in the local vicinity, the RV1 runs along the Festival site but will NOT be running on Saturday 13th September owing to strike action. Please check the tfl website before travel on Sunday 14th to check that the RV1 is running again:

River
Use the scheduled river services which depart from the following Piers: Waterloo, Embankment, Festival, Bankside, London Bridge City & Tower. For a full timetable of all the river services go to www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/river-guide-08.pdf
Normal boat services will operate during the Thames Festival except for the following –
- On Saturday 13th between 16.30 and 18.30 when the southside piers will be closed during the passage of the Great River Race
- On Sunday 14th between 21.40 and 22.10 when the Thames Festival fireworks take place
